Each puppy is given a regimen of vitamins twice daily to promote their health and well being.

Breeding & Licensing Certifications

We take every step to verify that each of the breeders with whom we are affiliated have been doing so for at least ten years. This vetting process allows us to confirm that our breeders refrain from inbreeding or line-breeding their puppies, ensuring the health of every puppy purchased from our site.

We are fully licensed and certified in the sale, care, and handling of live animals under the New York State Department of Health (NYS Pet Dealer #PD00181 and #98-ACHT-399)

Purchasing a New Puppy in Queens: Frequently Asked
Questions

The following are some of the most common questions we receive about purchasing and owning a puppy in Queens:

Absolutely not. We do not ship puppies. All pick-ups of new puppies must be made in person at our location in New York City. The sales transaction may be finalized on the website. A purchaser may schedule an appointment to pick up their new puppy or visit with the available puppies at our location by calling 718.306.4136 or emailing us at puppypetite@aol.com. We are open seven days a week from 11am to 9pm.

Our selection changes from week to week, but we always have a variety of puppies available. Since we deal mostly in toy and miniature breeds, we typically have Yorkshire Terriers, Maltese, Shih-Tzu, and Chihuahuas at our New York City location.

Prices on puppies can vary based on the puppy chosen. If you have specific questions about the cost of a particular puppy, please call us at 718.306.4136 or email at puppypetite@aol.com and one of our staff members will give you all of the information requested.

Only you can really answer that question. But there are two very important things to keep in mind before you make this decision.

The first thing to consider is that owning a puppy is a commitment you are making to a living animal. A puppy will depend on you for everything and unless you are able to devote enough time to potty training, playing, feeding, and raising the puppy with kindness and generosity, a puppy may not be right for you.

The second thing to consider is that a puppy will grow up into a dog. We've seen too many instances where the novelty of the puppy wears off and the owner grows tired of the animal, realizing that he or she was only concerned with the animal during the “cute phase”. We highly recommend that you are prepared for pet ownership through every phase of the dog's life, from puppy to senior.

Patience and routine are the cornerstones of proper potty-training. You can teach your puppy where and when to go to the bathroom through a series of easy steps. The goal is to train the puppy to do their business outdoors but housebreaking takes time and it's up to you to determine the schedule for training. We suggest the use of pads to start and slowly graduate to daily walks for using the bathroom.

Patience and routine. Take the time to practice with your puppy and, before you know it, your puppy will be fully housebroken.

We work with a group of trusted private dog breeders. Their methods are in compliance with our high standards for care and breeding of puppies. This ensures that every puppy we sell is properly socialized, well-mannered, and above all, healthy.

Yes, each of our breeders is registered with the USDA.

Purchasing a puppy from a trusted dealer who is licensed and certified to sell live animals is the best way to ensure you are getting a pet that is healthy. At PuppyPetite.com we make sure all of our puppies receive the best preventative care through routine veterinary check-ups, daily vitamins, and access to food and water 24 hours a day. We also ensure that our puppies are living in a clean and temperature-controlled environment.

There are so many puppy breeds out there, it can be tough to determine which is best for you. But our staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about the different breeds of puppy that we offer to the public. Though we specialize in miniature and toy breeds such as Yorkies, Chihuahuas, Shih-Tzus, and Maltese puppies, you may find that one of those or another breed altogether is the best fit for your lifestyle.
